A new service call ‘JustTextGiving’ has been developed by Vodafone on a not-for-profit basis. This service enables charities or individuals to raise money via text message. It is a very convenient way of fundraising and it is hoped it will appeal to the younger, tech savvy generation.
Fiona Bruce encourages local charities wanting to raise money to take full advantage of this new service as it is free to set up, there are no charges on the donations (so every penny goes to charity) and the donations can be made via phones of any network provider with no network charges. It is also possible to gift aid the donation.
